The Conference is relatively small, but it has a long tradition (since 1974) of creating an inspiring, productive and pleasurable atmosphere for nterdisciplinary communication among researchers, scholars and professionals from various sub-fields of ICT arena.

ITI Conference is scientific, multidisciplinary conference, but each year there is a special topic for the conference. In 2007 this special topic is Knowledge Discovery in Education, Government, Industry and Business. There are many other topics of interest and among them is Modelling, Simulation and Optimization.

Conference is organized by University of Zagreb, University Computing Centre - SRCE. ARGESIM and CROSSIM are among Conference co-operating institutions.

The Conference is taking place at the luxurious five-star CROATIA Hotel in Cavtat, only 10 minutes (6 km) from Dubrovnik International Airport.

28th International Conference Information Technology Interfaces - ITI 2006

This year ITI Conference gathered together 198 participants from 27 countries.

Special topic of the Conference in 2006 was E-learning: Opportunities and Challenges for Learning and Teaching. There were twelve other topics of interest and among them was also a session on Modelling, Simulation and Optimization which was held on Monday, June 19 and chaired by Professor Želimir Kurtanjek from Zagreb University Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology.

Best Student Paper Competition was held and award winners are Martin J. Schedlbauer (USA) and Saša Petrović (Croatia).

Conference was organized by University of Zagreb, University Computing Centre - SRCE. ARGESIM and CROSSIM were among Conference co-operating institutions.
